Walking home from the bus one night. The long, empty street and the small, suburban identical houses create a bleak feeling as you negotiate your time there. There is time for thinking much like on the bus. Lots of thinking. Tesco’s is in the opposite direction where the suburban identity mixes with modern convenience. This street is not terrible nor delightful. It is utilitarian like the houses, shops, cars, and possibly even the lives on it. It is there because it needed to be in order to form the entire structure. It is just a part of the whole and is interchangeable much like the things on it in the eyes of the standing structure.
